PARK GOLF AT GREAT GORGE

About the Sport

Park golf was invented so everyone could play outside together. Just show up in comfortable shoes. We provide your club, ball, and tee upon arrival. Walk our landscaped 5-acre course at Great Gorge, enjoy the fresh air, sip a cold drink from Hef’s Hideaway, and see who takes home the bragging rights

History of Park Golf

Originating in Japan in 1983, Park golf was created to provide a more accessible and family-friendly alternative to traditional golf.

With the game being much shorter and with simplified rules, Park Golf quickly gained popularity all throughout Japan.

Today, Park Golf is enjoyed by players of all ages across the world! With its relaxed setting and strategic elements, park golf is the best activity to bring people of all ages together.

How It Works

Anyone can walk up and hit a solid shot on their first attempt. The game is designed to be effortless from the moment you step onto the course:

  • You play the entire course with one specially designed wooden club. Its flat face keeps shots low to the ground for safe, effortless play on natural grass.
  • You hit a brightly colored, durable resin ball off a rubber tee. It is larger and easier to strike than a standard golf ball.
  • Our cups are nearly 8 inches wide, giving you almost four times the target area of a standard golf cup. Sinking putts is deeply rewarding for kids and beginners while keeping competitive scores tight for adults.
  • A full round takes 90 minutes to two hours and costs $20, about the price of a movie ticket and popcorn, but with a much better story to tell afterward.

Why Choose Park Golf

Park Golf offers a unique blend of simplicity and challenge, making it a perfect mix for newcomers to the sport and seasoned golfers.

With the shorter holes and only one club, the game is super easy to learn and provides loads of opportunities for development.

A great idea for family outings, social gatherings, or even solo play, Park Golf emphasizes enjoyment and accessibility for all.

Why Groups, Families & Teams Keep Coming Back

One of the best things about 1Club is that people tend to find their own reason to come. Families might come for a weekend outing and discover a new tradition, friends can turn a round into a regular get-together, and couples get an easy date outing that gives them something to do while they talk. For companies, it offers a welcome change from another conference room, with enough friendly competition to get people laughing and interacting naturally. The game brings everyone into the same experience, but there is still plenty of room to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and make the afternoon your own.
